Relational Moments, Ruptures and Repairs in AEDP©
In-Person Workshop May 29-30, 2026
presented by
Jenn Edlin, MFT, Senior Faculty at the AEDP Institute
Note: There is no online option for this training
Join us for a two-day workshop exploring relational moments in AEDP therapy.
We will learn through a mixture of lecture, video, a live demo and experiential exercises, beginning with a brief overview of AEDP theory. Then we will explore the therapist–client relationship through an AEDP lens. We will give particular attention to using the therapeutic relationship to rewire the client’s attachment patterns, identify micro-ruptures, and stay with repairs. All of these help us as therapists to harness the full power of relational interventions.
We’ll look at video with clients who relate with ease with the therapist as well as those who are
more guarded to learn directly applicable relational interventions across different clients, as
well as interventions for when a relational process feels stuck.
You’ll leave with concrete skills aimed at harnessing the present experience within the
therapeutic relationship for clients’ healing and transformation as well as interventions for laying
the groundwork for increasing a highly intellectualized/avoidant client’s capacity for experiential
and relational work over time. You’ll also have the opportunity to participate in experiential
groups to join others in the community in practicing relational work throughout the course.

Jenn is developing AEDP theory and clinical interventions to use with dysregulated and underregulated clients. In addition, Jenn was a Co-Director of the AEDP research project for 10years, working closely with Diana Fosha and Shigeru Iwakabe, to launch a research study and publish two outcome papers in the journal Psychotherapy.
Jenn is gifted with left brain rigor and right brain intuition. We who know her are struck with the breadth and depth of her intellect, the bigness of her heart, her attunement and sensitivity, her remarkable capabilities in a multitude of areas, her huge capacity to integrate it all and translate it into effective action AND her passion for, commitment to and devotion to AEDP.
““Jenn is hands down one of the most skilled trainers I have ever experienced. I only wish I had encountered her and AEDP earlier in my career.”."
"Jenn is an exceptional teacher, who brought her genuine self into the room every second of the training. Her didactic teachings were organized, clear, and alive. Great mix of content and process through video tapes. I felt safe and welcomed."
“Jenn was wonderful. She was just so authentic, real and thoughtful in the way she presented, spoke about her sessions, and answered questions. Her passion for AEDP, the work and her
especially her clients was just so clear in a way that felt both joyful to witness and pulled me in. She led all 80 of us with warmth, tenderness and enthusiasm.
