The Michelle Freeman
Scholarship Fund

In June 2025, we lost a colleague, Michelle Freeman. Michelle was a long-time member of our VAEP Steering Committee. She was passionate about AEDP, often recruiting other therapists to study the model with her special brand of enthusiasm. Michelle loved to organize social events for VAEP, gathering us together for fellowship and fun. Michelle was a gifted jewelry maker, and her weekends were often busy with craft shows. She also loved travel and restaurants, church and her church community, games of all kinds, laughter, and her beloved dog, Remy.

In honor of Michelle and her love for AEDP, we offer several types of scholarships to our trainings. We hope scholarship recipients will love AEDP as much as Michelle did.

Scholarship Details

VAEP offers two types of scholarships:

(1) Need-based service scholarships (50% off tuition), available on a first-come, first-served basis. Need is based on self-report. Recipients agree to some training duties to support the event, as it takes many hands to run an event! Duties range from monitoring coffee and food stations, helping with set up and clean up, working at the registration table, and running microphones during the question-and-answer portions of the training.

(2) Scholarships for individuals who identify as BIPOC (50% off tuition). These are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you are interested in one of these scholarships for our May 2026 training, please complete this form.
